Butter Master Mix
Yield Ingredients
4 cups flour (all purpose) 1⁄3 cup baking powder (double-acting) 3 tablespoons sugar 1 1⁄2 teaspoon salt 1 1⁄4 cup butter or margarine 1 cup dry milk powder, nonfat 4 cups whole wheat flour Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine white flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Stir to blend well.
- Cut in butter or margarine with 2 knives or a pastry blender until it looks like coarse oatmeal.
- Stir in dry milk.
- Stir in whole-wheat flour; mix well
- Store in a dry, closed container in the refrigerator for up to 6 weeks.
